30 June 2009 by Stefan Kottwitz

The version 1.9.2 of the free LaTeX editor Texmaker has been released today. Changes are:

  • a new panel “favorite symbols”,
  • previous sessions can be restored,
  • words can be selected by SHIFT+LeftArrow and SHIFT+RightArrow again,
  • a bugfix for Mac OS X concerning opening of a file by double-clicking on it in the Finder,
  • the unstable bidirectional support has been removed.

The complete changelog can be found here.

I wish to see a support for forward and inverse search in TexMaker. I’m using it on Ubuntu and miss those features dearly.

Thank you for this post. I was not aware of this editor.

I just downloaded it and found small annoyance: I can’t find a way to pass full path to acrobat reader (for viewing pdf). I can only see two wildcards: ‘%’ and ‘@’ but not full path?
