LaTeX Book Giveaway: win a free book on LaTeX.org!
I just started a small giveaway on the LaTeX.org forum for the new 2026 edition of the LaTeX Beginner’s Guide.

You can win:
- one printed copy (US/UK/Canada because of shipping logistics)
- and possibly two additional eBook copies worldwide
The fun part is that it’s not just “click and win.” I wanted to make it more community-oriented, so participants are encouraged to write a short comment about their experience with LaTeX.
I always enjoy hearing how differently people use LaTeX. Some focus on mathematics and academic writing, others on automation, publishing workflows, graphics, presentations, scripting, typography, or simply the joy of writing in plain text.
If you want to participate, here’s the original forum thread:

And if you just want to check out the book directly:
- Book page: https://packt.link/n96Mx
- Companion website with examples: https://latexguide.org
The 3rd edition was released in March 2026 and covers modern LaTeX workflows, mathematics, figures, tables, bibliographies, presentations, TeX engines, and also AI-assisted workflows with tools such as ChatGPT.
I’m very curious to read the replies on the forum. LaTeX users usually have surprisingly good stories. 😄
PS: If you want to buy it immediately, there’s a limited-time offer on Amazon with 30% off; at the moment, 25% has been taken.
